The British Universities' Chess Association has assembled a British team to play in the World Universities' Chess Championship in Zurich from September 4 to September 12:

• FM Peter Poobalasingam (Bath)
• Vedantha Kumar (Cambridge)
• WFM Sarah Hegarty (Bristol)
• Hannah Dale (Exeter)
• Team Manager: IM Lorin d'Costa

They will be competing in both an individual and team competition. The team competition is determined by:

1. The highest-scoring male player
2. The highest-scoring female player
3. The next highest score from a male or female player in either competition.

The next opportunity to play for a British team will be the 2011 World Student Games, in Shenzhen, China, in August 2011.
